What is the Mail Order Mystery Emporium?

The Mystery Emporium sells amazing stuff that ties in to all five of our Mail Order Mysteries. What is a Mail Order Mystery?

A Mail Order Mystery is a story for kids that unfolds through a series of installments that come in the mail. The envelopes could come from anyone, from anywhere, from any time. They could be long-lost relatives, museum curators, pirates, trolls or spies and they could be sending letters, newspaper articles, top-secret files, made-up magazines, wax-sealed missions or hand-written notes. They could be sending keys, locks, maps and clues of all kinds. There are puzzles to solve and codes to crack. All is revealed in the final mailing, a grand finale that includes an artifact or collection of keepsakes unique enough to be a cherished memento of the Mail Order Mystery experience. What is your return policy?

All of our products are custom printed on demand, that means that once you submit your order, we can't cancel or change it. So please make sure you've selected the size and design you want before you check out. Because your order is printed just for you, it also means we can't accept returns or exchanges. All sales are final. Of course, we want to make sure you're happy. So if order arrived damaged or defective, contact us within 30 days from your purchase so we can replace it.

How quickly will my order arrive?

All of our products are custom printed on demand and should ship within 2-4 business days. Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with tracking information. If your order hasn't shipped within 7 days, please contact us. All products ship from the United States and should be delivered to US addresses within a week after they ship. Orders to Canada and international addresses will take longer. Because different products are produced and shipped by different suppliers, different items in your order may arrive separately.

How do I cancel an order?

Because products are custom printed on demand, once an order is in production, the order can no longer be cancelled, changed or edited as the item has already been printed and is being prepared for shipping.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping prices vary depending on the item and where it's being shipped to. We do not offer free or flat rate shipping. Shipping charges are calculated based on your address and what you've added to your cart. You can see shipping costs by beginning the checkout process. Larger or fragile items like canvas art prints are more expensive to ship than smaller, easier to pack items like t-shirts. A large canvas art print will be more expensive to ship than a small one. If you order more than one of the same type of item, the additional items will usually cost less to ship than the first.

I added a Mail Order Mystery to my shopping cart but it disappeared after I added a t-shirt at the Mystery Emporium, what's going on?

The order process for a Mail Order Mystery is pretty specialized because of the customization of each mystery and ability to select a start date. So we use a separate online store and checkout process for Mail Order Mystery than we do for the Mail Order Mystery Emporium. What you add to your cart on one site will not carry over to the other. If you want to order t-shirt, art prints and other merchandise that ties into our mysteries, browse here at the emporium (mysteryemporium.com) and go through the checkout process on this site. My shirt arrived but it smells a bit odd, what should I do?

If your t-shirt or hoodie has strange odor or the garment is stiff, please give it a wash and the smell/stiffness will disappear. This is pretty standard for the type of garment printing that we use.
